anna & chris | hollywood dog photography

I had a gorgeous, sun-kissed photoshoot with the beautiful Anna Faris and funny-man Chris Pratt one lovely morning. What a treat it is to meet celebrities who are as cool, funny, and gracious as they seem in their movies and the media.

Bernie is a 16 week old pug - I love her sweet baby face.

Sherman is her 16 week old brother. I’ve never seen so many wrinkles on a pug before.

And Bonzo is the 10 month old first dog of the family. Have you ever seen such wonky eyes on a dog before?

I have no words to describe how much I love this next shot:

Last but not least is Anna’s cat Bella - she’s 17 years old and not quite as evil as she looks.

Thank you Anna and Chris for a fun, down to earth shoot with your adorable babies!

My client Erin won a shoot with me at a silent auction event held by our church to raise funds for her recent mission trip to Kenya.

What I remember most about this shoot is that A) She wore an adorable tutu B) She gave me a delicious, homemade yogurt/papaya popsicle, and C) It was HOT. I mean, really really hot. You’ll see why I mention the heat later on.

This ridiculously cute guy is Grey Bear.

And this is Panda Bear.

Erin is lucky to have what I refer to as “Smiley Eyes” - so cute.

A very elegant moment with Grey Bear:

Ok so I mentioned earlier it was stinking hot the day of our shoot. How hot was it? I met my first panting cat. Call me stupid, but I didn’t even know cats did this.

rest in peace, sweet mickey.

(Click for some images from Mickey’s book)

I just received the sad news this morning that Mickey lost his fight with lymphoma on Sunday July 19th. His cancer returned and his poor little body couldn’t fight it anymore. He was put to sleep at home, surrounded by all of his family, favorite toys and blankets.

Mickey fought a truly courageous battle and brought so much comfort and joy to his mom and dad every second he was on this earth. I am so sorry for your loss - Mickey was truly the best. And I feel so blessed to have met him.

Finally - a cat client!

Diotima is 18 years old - and what a regal 18 year old lady she is. She loves greenies, her banana cat nip toy, and her devoted owners.

I’m loving the light streaming through the window in this shot:

These chairs are like Queen Diotima’s thrones:

One of my new FAVORITE images. How gorgeous are both of these gals? And that light! Oh how I love gorgeous light.

A thoughtful moment with dad:

Oh this light is so delicious and fitting for a regal, gorgeous beauty like Diotima.

Amy and Tim, thanks for a wonderful shoot. I’m so glad I had the chance to meet Diotima in the “sunset of her life” (love that choice of words Amy!) Hope you cherish these photos for a lifetime.

UP NEXT: Duncan!

hey mickey, youre so fine!

Remember my gorgeous cat client Mickey from awhile back?

Well I’m happy to report that our cancer survivor extraordinaire is healthy and doing great! His mom and dad ordered a coffee table book and this was a really fun project for me because:

#1: This is my first cat photo book! (And I hope it’s not my last)

#2: His mom and dad were so adorable and wanted fun quotes, songs, and names incorporated into the book. So I got to do a lot more design work on this one and loved every minute of it.

And of course, I had “Hey Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind!” running through my head the entire time I worked on this.
