Saturday, May 17th, 2008I’ve been collecting vintage pet photos at flea markets over the last several months. Some of my friends think it’s incredibly creepy that I buy old photos of people I never knew (and who have probably passed on by now). But I think it’s FASCINATING. I’ve collected photos from the 1940’s to the 1980’s, and they all demonstrate how timeless the relationships between domestic pets and people are.
I FINALLY got a scanner today so I can start posting these awesome photos up on my blog. I especially love the photos that have dates and descriptions on the back. I think it would be really cool if someday, people found my own pet photography interesting enough to choose them out of dusty piles of photos at a flea market.
