Back from the wedding whirlwind. Thanks to those who left such lovely comments here on the blog, twitter, and facebook!

After 2 years of being a sporadic blogger I think it’s officially official: I’m a terrible blogger. Posting photos here and there on facebook has been so much easier. Please be sure to stay in touch with me over there - www.facebook.com/shinepetphotos.

And since no blog post is complete without some photos, here are a few I shot for a commercial client.

It’s time for another Shine Pet Photos casting call - this time in Las Vegas! All the deets are on the flier below. Please email us if you’re interested. The shoot date is coming fast! If you’re from Vegas or have ties to rescue groups could you please help us spread the word?

We will also be holding additional casting calls for San Francisco (late June), Houston and New Orleans (sometime in July) so if you have a rescue dog in these cities please feel free to send us an email. Exact dates TBD.

I love me some Wire Fox Terriers! They’re so smart, photogenic, and look like little stuffed animals. Love love love them! They don’t even look real in some of these shots. Max and Grace’s dad won a shoot with me at a silent auction benefiting Much Love Animal Rescue.

I was featured in the latest issue of Koream Journal, the ultimate source on everything Korean American.

I grew up in a very non-diverse town (I was just one of very few Asians in a graduating class of nearly 800 students!) and ended up getting really involved in Asian Pacific American activism in college. I helped found the oldest Asian sorority in the country at Penn State (founded in 1930!!) , served as the president for a semester, and also was a governing officer of the Asian Pacific American Coalition for a year. So to be recognized by my fellow Asian Americans is a huge, huge honor. I couldn’t be more thrilled!

I had the honor of being interviewed by Phetched, one of my hands-down FAVORITE dog blogs. They feature the best in well-designed, cool doggie products. It’s kind of like Design Sponge meets the Doggie world and I love it! I want everything they blog about… it’s kind of dangerous to visit their blog (but in a really good way!)

One of my doggie clients Daisy (a definite reader favorite, based on her blog comments!) did a fun guest editor column about her favorite things in Los Angeles in the Los Angeles Confidential Magazine newsletter. Thanks Daisy!

And lastly, swing by your local bookstore to pick up a copy of Animal Wellness Magazine, featuring an article on LA’s very own dog celebrity Preston Casanova and his amazing mama Laura Nativo!

Um yeah - he’s redonkulously cute. The tie AND skateboard AND that smile? Way to give us all cavities, Preston. By the way - he acutally knows how to ride the skateboard. Like I said - redonkulous!
