tarzan, santa monica.

I met Tarzan at his gorgeous home in Santa Monica last week. He’s got the best name and even better face!

I love it when dogs sit like this:

Tarzan loves to lay down on the bathroom floor to cool off:

Tarzan has his own bed in the bedroom… which happens to be a couch! Ah, what a life.

He’s not much of a traditional dog toy guy. But he sure loves his golf balls.

Tarzan’s mom and dad are getting married soon!

Tarzan just had to get a peek at the lovefest: (And a second later he joined them)

This last one is one of my new favorites. Where’s Tarzan?

Robyn and Chris, thanks for a fun photo shoot! Hope you love the photos!

Introducing Roadie, a gorgeous dog whose breed I can’t remember for the life of me because I’d never heard of it before!

We met early in the morning at the always beautiful Huntington dog beach, one of my favorite places in all of Southern California. This was my first client shoot here and it was a blast. I’ll have to try and schedule more sessions here.

I met Chloe and Aspen last week in their gorgeous Los Angeles home. (Even though some of these photos may lead you to think we had our photo shoot inside an Anthropologie store!)

How cute are these little poof balls?

Meet Mr. Tuvok. He’s almost 14 years old and the cutest little senior dog ever. I think he looks like a stuffed toy in a lot of these photos.

Mr. Tuvok was rescued 7 years ago by his amazing owners from an animal shelter in Texas. The poor guy had been shot in the leg 3 times by a bebe gun. But his owners gave him a new life, a new hip, and it’s been a match made in heaven ever since.

Helene and Mike, thank you for a wonderful photo shoot. Mr. Tuvok was such a joy to photograph! Hope you like these photos as much as I do.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention… MyFoxLA announced the winners of their contests last week and I came in 1st place as Los Angeles’ Best Pet Photographer. Wow. It’s been such a great year. I just want to say thank you to all who took the time to vote and review! You have no idea what it means to me.

if you had an extra $400…

…how would you spend it?

Would you give it to charity? Buy that lens you’ve been eyeing? Go on a shopping spree? Buy something special for your pets? Or put it away for a rainy day?

My favorite magazine Real Simple poses this question every month, except for just $100. I’m curious — how would you spend $400? I just recently sold my first baby (my Rebel XTi) and have some extra cash. I know I should be sensible and put it away into my savings account, or at the very least put it towards the business. But after the insaaaane hours I’ve been working lately, I’m leaning towards rewarding myself with something good! Just don’t know what that “something good” is yet.

What’s your “something good?” Let me know, and I’ll randomly select 2 people to get a free year-long subscription to one of my favorite magazines Popular Photography. Merry early Christmas!
