1 gorgeous Labor Day weekend

+ 1 handsome rescue Lab/Shepherd mix

+ 1 ADORABLE 5 month old pug puppy

=1 really fun shoot!

I had such a great photo session with Jeffrey the older brother, and Juno his (semi) new little 5 month old sister. They were both quite the characters. Jeffrey was the ever patient brother, while Juno was the pesky and feisty little sister who doesn’t quite care that she’s 1/4th the size of him. And I’ve never had a shoot with a pug puppy up on my lens 90% of the time. Juno was like a little wind up toy that never stopped moving. I wanted to try to get some photos of her resting/sleeping at the end of our shoot for a project I was approached for, and it just didn’t happen. She would have NONE OF IT! I guess life is too fun when you’re awake, especially when there’s a treat dispenser (aka ME) hanging around.

(The above is one of my favorite family portraits of all time — the coffee cup, the hands in pocket, the matching shoes. I love it!)

Thank you Liza for such a fabulous photo shoot! I’m so glad you found me on Anne’s blog : )

What a fantastic set of shots. The b/w pup-on-a-pillow is simply perfect.
    So good.

Those shots of Juno make me laugh out loud. The one with her head on the side was much undoing.

Omigosh…I loooooove pugs (I have 4 of them…) and that puppy is too cute. That must have been so fun. I love Juno! And Jeffrey is a handsome fellow too! I totally agree with you on the family shot - LOVE the Converse All Stars (I wear them all the time)…wonderful work! I absolutely LOVE your family shots!

Grace! I just got back home from doing a 3-day, 50 mile walk for MS and I can’t begin to tell you how sore I am, yet somehow I was able to move quickly to my laptop to check out the pictures–I haven’t moved this fast in days! They are amazing! You’ve definitely captured ‘the kids’ in their element. FYI-Juno DID NOT fall asleep until later that evening. She’s a ball of sparks!

What great looking family! Liza & R are dear friends of mine and so is Anne!

I think you captured the two kids and their personalities perfectly. Jeffrey is quite the handsome one, isn’t he? And Juno is this ball of energy with the deepest eyes. I love how Liza has to hold her down in the photos!

My faves are the first b&w one of Jeffrey with the sunlight peeping over the rooftop and of course the last one of the family. R holding the coffee cup…how perfect is that!

I love these! The pug shots are so unbelievably cute. I want to reach through my screen and play with her. Their rescue is such a handsome guy. I love that he appears to be the reserved member of this duo. Keep up the good work.
